mercedes virgin and i dont know where to start. need help!!!
hey guys im pretty new to the mercedes automotive arena. i've been pretty hardcore domestic all my life but i decided to try a more luxurious side of things. now to my question. i am about to purchase a 1964 220 se hardtop that is going to need a little love i'm getting the car for $1500 dollars and it's in decent shape. i am wondering if parts are as hard to come buy as i'm thinking or am i just looking in the wrong places. any help would be great and as i said this is an entirely new area to me so i'm open to any help and suggestions on how to start up this restoration.

Hi,
I am just finding out what kind of help you can expect when you own an older MB. The thought seems to be if you can afford to own it you can afford to pay the price to fix it...
Anyways, parts are around for most any car you want to drive and with the internet you can find them fairly easily. Google search and EBay have been two sites that have provided me with a lot of info and parts providers. Sometimes you have to be fairly specific with the name and/or part number you use in your search criteria or you can get swamped with thousands of hits.
Good luck!
