Mercedes SLK230 Kompressor 1998
Hey everyone, first post here...
I'm interested in purchasing a mercedes and I thought the best place to get some information would be here, from the pros.
Anyways, I'm looking at purchasing a 1998 SLK230 Kompressor (I'm on a limited budget) with 47k miles for about $15,000.
Basically, what I'm wanting to know is how reliable is this car? I absolutely LOVE the body style and interior. It looks gorgeous. However, is it going to hold up? How many miles will it run for (on average?). Are there any problems once you hit certain miles (Transmission at 100, lights at 80, etc)?
The reason I'm wondering is because I currently drive a 1998 Land Rover Discovery and it's approaching its deathbead with 100k miles. Two break lights out, a tail light out, and having some problems possibly with the transmission.
If I spend 15 grand on this car, is it going to hold up and im not going to have to spend 1,000 dollars in repairs?
My questions are a bit broad, but if there is any guidance to be offered, feel free.
Thanks,
Curtis

SLK doesn't have much space inside compare to the land rover. but it's okay for a second car.
so which one do you prefer?
cao brazilia, ashton, drew estate, macanudo, padron or punch?
