Hello all

Am a new & first-time MB owner of an 83 300 TD.

All is running nicely but I would like to have it into a shop for a check-up & tune, specifically the brakes. In addition, I'd like to develop a relationship with a mechanic in Los Angeles that is an expert / appreciator of these cars. Any suggestions?

There are some electrical & AC issues:

1) the AC blows hot air & am guessing that a freon recharge is required as the temperature seems to be the only problem. Are these still possible in CA? Are they even legal?

2) antennae, power door-locks, so on are non-functioning

3) the cruise control is non-functioning. Does anyone have any insight on after-market installations?
