Mass airflow Sensor repair ML320 2001
Upon removing my mass air flow sensor I noticed what appears to be a glass diode in a push connector.
It checks bad as a diode. Does anyone know what that part is, so I can replace what seems to be a replacement part?
Thanks

Presumably you refer to the "component" on the sensor itself.
If so it is the air flow temperature sensor (thermistor).
So how did you check it?
Real issue is what codes showed up on OBD (On Board Diagnostics).
This will tell you if the MAF and or thermistor are defective.
Stuart.

Its not a diode as stated.
The airflow parts are inside the "window"
If you think its faulty a good clean using spray on Maf or contact cleaner can bring good results.
Liberally spray the plate and surrounds and shake dry.
