I had called my local MB dealer and they informed me that if I gave them the VIN number, they could
A. give all therecords on the car performed at any dealership that was warranty covered item in which case the customer did not pay anything
B. give all the service records that was performed at ONLY thier dealership. For example, if an oil change was done at another MB dealership, they would not be able to pull that information.
I hope this helps.

That is quite sad to hear too. I have a 91 MBZ and I was hoping to get some service information. MB should have a higher class of maintaining records. It is even worse to hear this in 2007 that they still can not track service outside a dealership.

all the info from the VMI from a dealer is all the warrenty work performed on your vehicle
the only way to find out any maintance info is to find out which dealers did warrenty work and contact that dealer to get the records for your vehicle
