Higuys, just replaced front discs and pads on my 220cdi due to brake judder. Guess what? its still there. Have i hot spotted the new discs or is the ABS kicking in hen it should'nt. Just bought the car with dent in front wing but prepared to do what it takes to bring her up to scratch.

Dent in front wing! Accident damage? Suspension parts bent?
Need to check lateral run out on brake rotor and road wheel.
Did you use genuine OE MB brake rotors?
Sure the hub/rotor mating surfaces were clean?
Sure the road wheel isn't bent.
Tyre tread look OK. No obvious feathering or chunking?
Need to "bed" new brakes for about 200 mile before using them heavily.
If the ABS is operating you are using them "very heavily" so may have overheated the new pads and rotors.
Is the judder felt through the brake pedal or as "****le" at the steering wheel. If the later it is most likely rotors with excess lateral run out.
Brake judder is not (IMHO) a common MB "feature".

Your final comment kinda sums it up correctly. Took the baby to my local dealer and they concluded that rust on rear rotors might be the cause.
Had em changed and its completely curred. She stops smoothly and confidently now. 80% of bracking done at front so she must have been sat for a while before i bought her or a dodgy weight sensor under front seat.
Thanks for the advice. Ive never had problems on rear discs in a car cos they obviously do a lot less work, even in rear in rear drive cars.
Front suspension bushings were also split so had them changed as well!
Given a 2007 clk courtesy car, nice and responsive but not the gear box i was expecting from that kind of car. Got back in my auto and appreciated it a little more.
Cheers!
