i'm wondering if anyone can help me out. the interior lightin the roof of the car (directly in the ceiling in the center of the car between the front seat and the rear seat) will not turn off when it is dark. when it is bright outside, the light does not turn on.. but at night, there is a dull light from the overhead lighting fixture and there is also a light in the feet area in the rear seat. is this normal? does anyone know if i can turn the lights off? i drive a 2007 E class.

 

Not familiar with your model however interior light function problems are usually linked to a failure in the PSE (door locking) module.
Suggest you get your dealer to do a STAR diagnostics check.
