Importing my C320 to Canada
I am currently driving a 2003 C320 in California and is planning on relocating to Toronto. I checked with the dealer and was told that there are some necessary modications to the car in order to meet Canadian standard:
1) Speedometer to display in km/h instead of mph
2) Brake indicator in the dash to be displayed as a symbol, rather than the word "Brake"
3) Some kind of springs to be modified for the front and rear bumper.
That can amount to CAN$4000-$5000. Has anyone here gone through this? I remember reading somewhere that speedometer displaying in km/h isn't absolutely necessary, all you need in case it is displayed in mph, is a sticker indicating that "the speed is in mph" and a sample conversion such as "60mph = 100km/h". Is that true? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
