I have a 2006 Mercedes R500 and the car isn’t starting
I have a 2006 Mercedes R500 and the car isn’t starting. I at first thought there was an issue with the battery, however, after charging it for a weekend, the car would still not start, despite my best efforts to jump start the engine. My next plan was to look at the battery and see if a connect between the battery and the engine was causing the issue however in order to have access to the battery, I need to move the seat. The problem is that the seats are powered by the battery and since the car won’t start I’m at a impasse on how to move the seat. Is there a way I can charge just the seat so that I can move it enough to have access to the battery? Or is there something else I should try? Open to any and all suggestions!

Hello and welcome to the forum! I would suggest that you pull the car's fault codes using a Mercedes scan tool. This should give you a definitive answer as to where the issue is coming from. Did you measure the battery voltage after charging it? - are you sure it charged in the first place?

Thanks PelicanPart, I appreciate you help. I know the batteries is completely dead and can't be charged or jumped. The problem I have is I need to access the batteries and in order to do that I need to move the passenger seat with no power.
Is there is a way I can move the seat manually or power it independently?
