Can anybody tell me why my check engine light is on, my brakes are not working correctly,my engine idle as if it wants to turn off at stopsand whythere isan hissing sound coming from my engine? This all happen at once.

 

what car? and year?and does the brake go to floor or is the pedal hard to push. sounds like you have a broken vacuum line or hose which helps engine run and also helps with brakes.

 

i saw you have a 2000 clk 320. look under the hood at the brake booster, driver side below windshield. there is a big black plastic hose that goes into the booster check that and also check the other end of that hose.

 

Its a 2000 clk 320 convertible, and thepedal does not go to the floor, is this something i can repair or should i take it to the delaler or repair shop?

 

What happened. this all happened at the same time?? did you have it at a shop recently?? if you hear a hissing that is probably your trouble. what brake issues are you having??

 

Hey thanks! I've just check and the hose is broken at the end connect to the engine. Is that an easy fix?

 

your brakes should have nothing to do with the engine except for that vacuum hose at the brake booster. im curious now.

I had it at the shop for the one wrench service tune up about a week ago. Do you think they may have broken it?

 

anything is possible, but for the one wrench service you usually dont do anything major unless they upsold you some work. sometimes if they do a mass air sensor or spark plugs maybe they were in that area and broke something.. maybe you could have bad motor mounts and that is causing the engine to move too much resulting in a broken hose. but that hose just shouldnt break by itself.
