I'm about to buy a 190E and i have a couple of questions</P>


Is a 190E an "e class"? and a lot of the ones i've looked the electric windows don't work so i am hopping that this is a common problem and someone knows how to fix them please.</P>

A 190E is a C Class rather than an E Class. Window problems are not uncommon, but not rampant either. It may be something as simple as a fuse or a switch.

 

Thanks for the quick reply. The car i hope i will end up with its only the back windows that don't work so looks like i'll have to have a play if i get it its in an auction.

 

My 190e left rear window didn't work. Turned out to be the regulator (window assist mechanism). Cost of part and labor was about $200.00

 

I am well pi**ed off, I did win the auction for the car but then got an e-mail from the seller saying, he could not sell me the car because there was a problem with it. I asked what the problem was and offered that we could still sort out a deal but he never answered. I reckon that someone like the person I out bid offered him more money or surely he would still want to do some sort of deal with me.

 

There are a lot of flea-bags on eBay -- that's for sure.
