Hi, I am new to the forum. I had briefly owned a Mercedes E320 last year before it was totaled due to an ice storm. I am now thinking about buying another used Mercedes. The car I'm looking at is a 2000 Mercedes Benz S500. I would like some honest opinions about this car. I don't know anyone that has owned a Mercedes before, so I don't have anyone I could really ask. The car seems to come from a good owner, but it does have 185,000 miles. Lots of times, different model cars have certain quirks about them that aren't so good, and often result in expensive car repair bills. I kind of would like some general information and advice about this particular model. What do you know about it - bad or good? Are there any repairs that this model is notorious for? Please let me know. I will be making a decision in the next day or so. Thanks for your time.
