I have a 2000 Mercedes C280. On the instrument panel where the current tank mileage USUALLY shows there just popped up an oil symbol and the word HI. I took my car straight to the oil change place and they changed it. I drove down the road, and when I got up to about 40mph thesiily thing came on again. I took it back. They drained all the oil, refilled it with less, and the same thing is happening. What can it be and what do I do? Could there be something else going on here? I usually change my oil every 3000 - 4000 miles. I treat my car like a newborn baby. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Thank you and God bless you!!!

 

COULD HAVE A BAD SENSOR OR JUST HIGH OIL LEVEL. POSSIBLE CODING ISSUE IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AS WELL. CORRECT OIL FILL IS 8.3 QTS W/ FILTER CHANGE.
