Hi. I recently bought a 1977 230 sedan as a project vehicle. It needed some rust repairs and replacement panels. I advertised for the parts and finished up buying the remains of a 1982 230e minus the motor and grill and front guards etc. I was going to use the parts off this on the 230 but thought better of it as the 230e is a far better vehicle (rust free). I am thinking of using the 230 engine in the 230e. Does anyone know if it will fit straight in? Any problems to look out for? What other items do I need to change over? Both have auto transmissions, would they be the same? Any help is appreciated.
