Have an 83 380SL. Engine runs rich and won`t idle. Excess black smoke on acceleration.

 

Hi Ray, I have 74 350SEL with D-Jetronic fuel injection. Your 380 should have K-jet?? or Motronic?? Either way i have been looking on the net for info on my fuel inj system and have found heaps of diagnostic stuff and trouble shooting tips. if you let me know what system you have i might be able to help with some links...</P>
