electrical problem

Default electrical problem

ive replaced the horns on my 76 250 ce,no problem.im trying to put them on my harley,ive connected 1 wire to earth the other to live,nothing.any ideas?

hmm did you check the polarity of each lead, positive or negative? if they are switched you might get nothing. try the horn on an external source, directly to the battery or a 12v powersupply,make certan that your fused connection is ok. you can visualy inspect the fuse or use an ohm meter. if you get very high resistance or infinite resistance the fuse is blown. check the wire you are using for problems by using the same method of going from negative on the battery to the negative lead for your horn, do the same for positive. remember to disconect power or you risk damaging your ohm meter. check the horn switch if the horn works wired directly to a 12v source.
