E430 - What is this???
Hello,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. I recently developed soft brakes after my 2000 E430 was transported from Chicago to Miami. Pads good, brake fluid level good, no obvious leaks. I noticed what looks to be a switch next to the brake manifold that keeps clicking non-stop.
I need help identifying the switch, what function it serves and if it could contribute to soft brakes.
I have attached a picture. It has "MOT" written on it. Thanks, Matt

I think that is part of the evaporative emmisions system. Soft brakes means air in system, or bad master cylinder. If you are not loosing fluid and have had no work done on the brake hydraulic system, I'd guess your master cylinder needs rebuilding.
