Distributor Coil
Hi, Im new to the site, and am driving a 1993 400e. Im trying to hook an aftermarket tach up, and am trying to locate the distributor coils to do so. Also, if you have any other help you could give me as to what 12v source to use and where to go to the firewall, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Ive got pics of the engine if you need them to help point them out.
And here is what i have done to my car
Custom Y-Pipe
R-1 Racing Muffler
Custom Intake
Removed foglights and headlight washers for airflow
best 1/4 to date: 14.85
Stock Diff, All weather Tires

I don't know enough about the '93 400E to be of any help with the tach. I just wanted to welcome you.
Reading your mod list, it seems like you're treating your car like it's a Camaro. You're my kinda of drinking buddy if that's true. "90free." I like that. That's how I pronounce it myself after a few.

The Tach should have 2 pins for connection!
One labelled 12V goes to fuse box with current when ignition on.
The othe labelled TD (I don't know what the Germans mean by that)
goes to ignition coil negative terminal.
The metal casing of the tach is negative body.
