Default Discussion about Delaney Power Extractor Engine

Hi All,

I came across this website powerxtractor.com through a friend of mine
and this new engine sounds pretty impressive, but I don't know enough
myself. What do you all think, is it really good as my friend said?

Thanks in advance for help

Default RE: Discussion about Delaney Power Extractor Engine

Kind of interesting, but I see all manner of troubles in timing the scavenging across an RPM band. Modern electronics would help immeasurably, but they're doing miracles with conventional designs as it is. It may be superb if he can get an engine developed, but of course there's the rub.
You want to fix engines? Get rid of camshafts. Go to hydraulic valve actuation, controlled like fuel injection. Blow the valves open with variable oil pulsation and close them with springs. Infinitely variable timing and lift, and an output curve that could be made any shape desired.
