My my rear wheel drive E220 seems to have developed an oil leak on the diff. Until i can get it fixed, where on the car do i top up the oil.

Top up has to be done through the filler hole at around the middle of the diff box.
You fill until oil is just flowing out of the hole when the car is on level ground.
Have you figured out as to from where the leak is?

Are you sure that what you think is a leak isn't really just build up over time of the occasional weep out of the weep hole?

 

Its leaking from where the Prop Shaft joins the Axle. Think its a diff seal or the diff itself.Is this a big job to change ?
