Can anyone advise on what scanning tools & diagnostic software would be best for my 1999 C230 komp. I'm seeing this ELM 327 based OBD2 All-In-One Scan Tool w/ USB that is supposed to work with 1996 and later vehicles with any of the OBD-II protocols: I'm assuming my vehicle is complaint? I'm a DIY guy and enjoy working on my own vehicles, but never got into the diagnostic part of the cars. I do have laptop and am willing to learn. My car currently has the Check Engine Light going on and off at different times? Is there other manufactures and software companies?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
