i'm looking at a 90 300CE and talked to the local dealer about past service history as the owner is out of state and doesn't have any histiry .anyway the dealer told me it was sold nes at dealer 48406,they said i would need to talk to that dealer to get any warranty service or serivice work .

 

That sounds like that dealer knows no more than you do about the car, but don't want you to know that.

 

tell me about it,i figure if they know the dealer number they should be able to tell me who that number belongs too.they did tell me they did brake work on it in 02 and 03 but nothing after,they also said it had something done in 95 can't remember right off hand what it was.

 

well i got on the mercedes web site and asked customer service about any info,they just got back to me saying that they will send me a complete history for warranty work if i provide proof of ownership(title,reg),also said dealer 48406 is park place motors in dallas tx.
