My 2005 ML 350 would start for a second and cut off, it would do that twice and It won't crank anymore for days or weeks, I get start error on the dash, does anyonehave an idea what causes that

 

Hello and welcome to the forum! There could be several reasons for this: ignition coils, fuel pump relay, MAF - I would suggest pulling the car's fault codes first; this will give you a good idea as to where the issue is coming from.
