1997 SL320 (probably same on SL500) The coolant light remains on even though the coolant tank is full. The engine is not running hot. The dealership claims they cannot find what is wrong. Seems odd? Is there one or two sensors? Anything else to check? Thanks

 

i beleive theres one sensor located underneath the coolant overflow tank-if you can locate this then check that sensor for open circuit with ohm meter-if resistance seems fine i dont know the spec off the top of my head but then they should connect a resistance box while monitoring actual values with sds to see whether or not values change so there may be a problem with the ME
