CODE 730

RE: CODE 730
Hi.
Code P0730 is Incorrect Gear Ratio.
I don't know but at a guess I believe that Engine Speed and Road Speed do not cross check.
You don't state if you have had any work done on the car. e.g. New tyres, new axle, new gearbox. new electronic module etc which might result in this code if the incorrect unit was fitted. Alternatively if the car has recently been connected to a diagnostics machine it is possible that the computer got recoded by mistake
Suggest you RESET COMPUTER and see how you go.
I actually had a problem like this on my own vehicle due to the wrong type of wheel/tyre being coded in the computer. After 2 hours on cruise without intervention the car would go to FULL throttle! It didn't however put on a warning light.
You don't state vehicle model, age etc
