Default CLS500 Tires??

My car has only 5000 miles on it and I have already had to purchase 2 tires and replaced the rim. I did hit a pothole( twice) and a curb, but this seems ridiculous for it to damage the tire. Have hit potholes before in other MB and have never had to replace tires or rims. I think it might be the large tire rims. and they are just faulty. Absolutely love the car, but will not keep if this continues. Mercedes also had trouble getting the tires. Made me wonder if this is happening to others, so they can't get enough tires to fill the orders. Please help. Thanks!

if during the wheel balancing... the highest weight needed is more than 40 grams... it is better to replace the rim or the tire (whichever cause it).

less than that, you may put such tire/wheel on the rear to reduce steering vibration.

Your car has low-profile tires. They hardly have any sidewall height. They're great for performance and handling, but suck for going through potholes over and over. They aren't any good for jumping curbs either. When the tire sidewall fully compresses, then the only thing left to absorb the shock is the wheel. You want to avoid those potholes and curbs.
