my 01' C320 recently had the DTC 0335, crank shaft position sensor circut malfunction. Well i replaceded the crank sensor. then i disconnected the battery for 5 mins. hooked up scan tool checked for faults and there were none. I thought the problem was solved, but after 10 miles driving while at a stop sign the darn thing dies. Any help is needed. thans in advance.

RE: car dies
The Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve, or PCV valve, is a one-way valve that ensures continual refreshment of the air inside a gasoline internal combustion engine's crankcase.Check your PCV valve if it is in good conditon. And also search for leaks on the gasket it could be one or more causes of leak. The Mercedes Benz valve cover gasket is found between the top of the cylinder head and the bottom of the valve cover. This gasket is responsible for ensuring that the oil will not leak even if the engine is running.

RE: car dies
If P0335 has come back this looks as though your replacement sensor was bad or there is a problem with the wiring / connector. Ensure pins haven't backed out or have corroded.
I suspect the latter.
Stuart.
