Default C240 Transmission Problem

So I took my car into the Dealership and they told me i need the following

Transmission - $4762
Shift Gate - $870
COntrol Module - $408
Radiator - $386.50

For a total cost of about 7k with labor and everything. So my question is, is there somewhere i can pick these parts up cheeper then the dealership prices listed above? Any alternitives to parts? I know i need the transmission but are the other parts optional? Thanks for all your help!!

Don't understand what the problem was.
Nor the vehicle details age, mileage etc.

Maybe the dealer is yes "playing safe" at your expense and ordering everything.

So on what basis does the dealer justify that these parts are needed?

So how much is the car worth once the work is complete.

Looks like you may need to find a more cost effective way of repair. Salvage / independent etc.
