brake lining malfunction

Default brake lining malfunction

hi just did my back brakes today started the car and the brake lining malfunction was still on i noticed the sensor on the pad was wore down alitle should i replace the sensor or will the malfunction go away i already did the front padsa month ago so i know the code is 4 the rear and weird but onlyhas one sensor for the rear its on the right tire help will be apreciated

YOU MUST REPLACE THAT SENSOR.

this is why brakes should not be done by independent shops, not because they dont know how to do brakes, but because the vehicle always ends up back at the dealer with the brake wear light on.Anyway, when you say repaired a sensor, something about that doesnt sound right. you are supposed to replace the wear sensors anytime you replace the pads, wether the brake wear light was on or not. you dont ever reuse them.

yea thanx guys a $7.45 brake sensor did the trick
