Bad supercharger?

I just took my C230 year 2000 to a local foreign car shop and they told me the supercharger was bad ($2250 for part only quoted). They replaced the air flow meter which was bad to just get the car running but said they did not know how long the car would run. I called a parts company and they said it may be an EIS control unit. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? The car basically was bogging down when you step on the gas. I replaced the plugs and fuel filter but it did not help.

I was not told what codes came up. There was oil on the air mass meter. The check engine light has been on for a long time. I took it to the local dealership and left it there for over one week and each day when I drove it off, the light came back on. After the entire week of taking it back, I gave up on them. After taking it to the foreign car repair service two days ago, the light has not come back on. It is currently running fine but I have ordered a PCV and a rebuilt supercharger for it.

REPEAT.....YOU DO NOT NEED A SUPERCHARGER. YOU DO NOT NEED A SUPERCHARGER. YOU DO NOT NEED A SUPERCHARGER. THE INTAKE MANIFOLD NEEDS TO BE PULLED OFF AND THE PORTS FOR THE PCV NEED TO BE CLEANED OUT. THE INTERCOOLER WILL THEN NEED TO BE FLUSHED. BOTTOM LINE AGAIN....YOU DO NOT NEED A SUPERCHARGER.
