Default Ambient Temperature Sensor

Has anyone replaced the ambient temp sensor on a 140 style benz? How hard of a job is this? Mine is jumping all over the place and I think is affecting the climate control.
Thanks in advance.

What year 140? I think the early ones have you replace the the sensor with the wire (one piece) which is not a big deal, requires a little more work and a little more time. The newer ones have a connector at the sensor.
I may be thinking of the 129 though. It's been awhile since I've done one.

It is a 1992 300 sd. I'll try to remove the grill and have a look. Thanks
