Default Alternator Swap

Hi all, I did a search and came up empty. Here's my situation

My friend recently brought her 1988 mercedes 260 to jiffy lube and they gave her a $500 estimate to replace the alternator and belt. I've changed out alternators on my other grand prix and old impala before and know it's not a big deal to do. I haven't yet had time to see her car in person, but was wondering if there was any big differences because it's a Mercedes? I've found the part online to be $150-160.

Any help or pics would be great, thank a lot in advance

There's really a big difference onpricing. Maybe you just first have to search online for more details on changing alternators. A mercedes alternatorcharges up the battery in order to give supply of electric charges. If it has to be changed, lookingfor quality part replacement will effectively restore its performance and services.
