1988 260E abs light intermittent, have good battery and alternator

check the overvoltage protection relay- behind the battery with the control modules- could have a blown fuse in it- also relay could be bad.

IF ITS A BLOWN FUSE LIGHT WILL STAY ON ALL THE WHILE,IF ITS INTERMITTENTLY YOU NEED TO CHECK THE SPEED SENSORS INDIVIDULY POSSIBLE GRIT OR STONE CHIP STUCK IN BETWEEN THE SENSOR AND THE PULSER RING....
