Default 89 190E Auxiliary Cooling Fans

Hello, I needed to replace the "dual" auxiliary cooling fans on my '89 190E 2.6 and it seemed like the 2 old fans that were broken were sort of opposites, where the electical plug on the left fan came out of the bottom left of the unit and the right fan's plug came out of the bottom right... the 2 new fans that were delivered me seemed identical where the electical plugs both came from the bottome right ?
I have mounted the fans anyway with the left fan now having it's plug and wiring coming out of the top left of the fan but I can still hook it up OK...
My question is, Does it make any difference ? Were there supposed to be 2 separate fan motors for this application ?
Better yet,.. how can I test the fans, rather than wait for the car to get real hot ??
Thanks for any help here,
Padge

Thanks Sleepwalker... I've installed them and don't see any issues. If there's a way to test them that would be nice... the engine cools nicely now and they haven't engaged even with the AC running... maybe the outside temp needs to get hotter ?
Thanks again,
Padge
