560SEC Overheating
Hi, I recently purchased as my first car a 1988 Euro-Spec 560SEC and just discovered that it has a overheating problem. The car sounds fine while running but even after short trips the engine temp shoots up and there is white smoke/steam from the engine bay. So far all I've been able to check is the Radiator hoses which appear to be fine. Any suggestions on how to find the cause of the overheating would be great. Thanks and I'm sorry if this has been covered in another thread already.
You may need to replace the headgasket (because of the white smoke shooting from tailpipe), and/or water pump and radiator. At least check them anyway. Be sure to check all hoses thoroughly too!
