Smile 380SL won't start in the rain

When it's raining, this car won't start. the battery is new. It cranks strong but takes 5-10 tries and it starts rough and will stall out if you give it gas or shift until it warms up. Runs fine in any other weather. This is very inconvenient since I moved to Oregon. It rains here a LOT!

Years ago I had a truck that would do the same thing.
Everything checked out, this went on for two years "not as wet in Texas"
then my alternator went out and after replacing it everything was good after that.
The bad thing was the alternator had checked out good.

You could try the air can that you clean your key board with and try to dry the alternator out one time when it is acting up, to see if it works.

Good luck.

i would guess cap and rotor and new wires. at night time with the engine running using a water bottle, spray water onto the wires and cap and check for spark jumping.

Default Moisture in the distributor cap?

Did you check? That would be the first thing I would look at...
