Guys,

I have a 2006 ML350 with navigation installed. I've recently received a newer version 8.0 DVD as a gift from a friend. However, when I put it in - it seems like the system is not recognizing the DVD disc and it doesn't work...

Any ideas? I tried to research on the web and I saw some people are saying that some kind of firmware is required for updating the system? Is that true? If so - where can I find this software? I asked the dealership since I'm bringing the car in for service next week but it looks like they are quoting me over $160 just to update the navi software for me... that seems a bit much. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
