My 2004 SL 500 has the 7 speed automatic. I am not happy with the way it shifts- there is no solid shift between gears. The dealer upgraded the software and it helped somewhat but I would really like to improve it. Its a great car otherwise . Any suggestions?

 

only by feeling that the problem can be analyzed.

it can be a poor contact on the lock-up clutch inside the torque converter.

there is also a different kind of ATF which can remedy this problem. it's not the normal red one you are using. it is more yellow/greenish in color.
