I have a 2001 e 430 and i think part of my problem from reading is motor mounts because i have bad vibrations when i come to a stop or put it in reverse. Another problem im having is when i put it in kick down mode theres a hard knock in the floor board but no problems with acceleration. Now i have a problem with it cutting off, when i let it run for about 15 min. it will cut off and want start back until you let it sit for about 30 min. its not the fuel pump or filter. i've been told that it maybe the computer since i hear an arc when i stick the key in and switch it to the on position or it maybe a pulley sensor turning the motor off... someone please help i want an idea before i take it to the dealership.

 

ya sounds like motor mounts...do a trans mount also....the cutting off sound sounds like a crank sensor

 

a guy with the mercedes place told me the same thing but i wanted to get an second opion before i spent all that money to put it in the shop....
