Default 2001 CLK200 Central Locking not opening

Just purchased a CLK 2001, initaly central locking not working at all. Lights flashed when key fob pressed, so started with fuses and pump.
Discovered the a plastic key on top of moter shaft had cracked and the actual pump was not working, even though the motor was running.

A bit of super glue, and a quick test in workshop established pump now working in both directions.

When installed, central locking locks OK, but does not open.

A quick check, own lung power, established door actuator work in both direction (open and lock).

By carefully observing pump circuit board, I hear a relay click when which switches pump to open (pressure cycle).
The same click when trying to open, I hear the same click, but the pump does not do a close cycle..

Does this sound like a bad relay/solinod on the pump circuit board, or is there something else in the CL system which could cause this.

I am just wondering if I can just replace the circuit (and get it "programed") from an defective pump asm. or do I need to consider other possibilities which cause this problem.

I am currently using fob to lock and key to open, after blocking off the petrol cap locking.

Thanks

Noel

There is a "pressire" switch which needsto be correctly set.
Send me your proper email address and I will send a photo.

Wish somebody would tell me why... OR FIX.... that I can't attach a (less than 250k size) photo on this site! MacOX10.4
