also make sure you have the plug plugged into the alternator too. there is the wire and also the plug. that will cause a charge light to come on.

 

yup dude you were right about the fuse... except it was a 150 amp fuse, not an 80. But either way i took it out today (finally got some time, lol) and now i just need to find a replacement. You were also right about the dealer wanting me to replace the whole box of fuses. The dealer wants $117 for it, minus the 20% wholesale discount. Bull****. lol. i'll just go to one of my vendors and get that **** tomorrow hahaha

But seriously man.... THANK YOU... you were the first person out of at least 7 mechanics (literally) that i've asked opinions of that actually gave me a firm answer without being "iffy" about it... thanks thanks thanks dude... oh by the way... you were the only one that was correct, too... lol...

 

I inherited the caretaking of my mother's W220 (2000 S500). Exact same issues. Xninjax, where did you pick up that fuse? I looked up Pelican, and they don't seem to stock it.
