Has anyone replaced the fuel level sensor in a 89 300 E? No matter how I turned or tilted it I could not get it out.I heard it hitting the tank before I got enough of an angle to get it out,Whats the secret? I thought it would be a cakewalk since access was right in the trunk. I got it out in 30 peices but I don't want to buy a new one if I cant get it in. I gave this car to my son but he doesn't have the cash to constantly feed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

 

I found it, it apparently has the smaller 75 litre tank with the 90 litre sending unit
