Hey Folks, thank you in advance to any one that takes the time to read this. I could use a little help in the fuel pump area. I have a 1984 500 SEL that used to purr like a kitten. Now, it won't start. I put a meter on the fuel pump connections and get no voltage when cranking. I checked the fuses but there doesn't seem to be a fuse for the fuel pump. What's up with that? I know where the fuel pump realy is (I think that's the one with the "5500 kickdown" on it.) Any ideas where I should start looking? I have an extensive background in auto mechanics so you can talk fast and I will follow you. Thanks again to every one! I really appreciate the help.

Hey Folks, I just learned that some where along the way, some of the cars have a fuel pump cut-out switch I guess that is set off my an abrupt motion such as an impact. DOes any one know if the 500 SEL has one of these? This may be my problem but I'm not sure where to start looking for it. Thanks again to any one that can help!
