Hello all...

I am new to the Forums... and have just purchased my first Mercedes... at an auction... and it runs... looks great... etc... I would just like to bring it to the next level...

I want to make sure I understand the basic maint. that goes into these cars (I am in Texas and Have delt with american cars for the last 20 years)...

I am also looking for some info on what repair resource is best...
* I have seen
- DVDs....
- Chiltons...
- etc...

I am looking to slowly purchase new or slightly used Engine, Carb, AC, etc

Not that the ones in the car are bad... I just don't know much about them... and they are not... "CLEAN" I am looking to make the car sparkle... even under the hood... so any help on where to get GOOD (lower priced - Not Cheaply made) parts... would be great...

I am also looking at possible conversion to electronic ignition... if it does not take too much modification to do it and it can easily be returned to original...
