I own a 2000 Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor. The check engine light recently went on and when I had a friend put the OBDII on it, it came back as:
P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction - Bank 1
He said that it is probably my Air Mass Sensor, but sometimes the problem could go away if I replace my spark plugs and clean out the Air Mass Sensor.
Has anyone experienced this problem and if so what do you suggest?
Thanks

Hi,
Likely the MAF.
There are hundreds of posts regarding this if you search the site.
Possible to clean the MAf but doesn't always work.
Can't think why spark plugs will rectify the problem.
Use only genuine MB Bosch MAF.
