I was told if you grease them inside and at the ends, woith a water proof grease, it almost eliminates the noise. What do you think?

No, don't do that. They're designed to be used without grease. Grease will lessen their performance. Think of trying to control something with your hands that twists and shifts and has grease on it. It's rigid tension from a dry bushing that improves handling. Grease reduces that tension considerably. It will also attract dirt which will shorten their life.

So the torque placed on the poly bushings make them work better? The grease would make them slip and loose the grip?

Yeah, sort of, in a way. That's the easiest way to explain it.

The poly bushing are much harder than stock. They don't "give" like stock. They maintain a stiffness at the links. The "mushiness" of the stock suspension is eliminated. Grease just works against all that. Plus, certain greases may cause them to deteriorate.

You need to check high-performance suspension specialists. However, poly bushing aren't available for every car.

I have check out most of the the mercedes ones on the .net and nothing. There seems to be a lack of performance upgrades for the C Class, W202, plenty for the W201 thou? I guess the W202 when re-designed more as an entry level luxury class car then the W201's. The W203 even have more performance aftermarket options available.

I bought H&R lowering spings. Which drop it 1.5 inches. I could fit 2 fingers between the fender and the wheel and 1 finger in the back. I recommend to buy aftermarket ajustable shocks, though. I thought the dampening was to soft on the stock shocks. Overall there great springs, you'll be satified with the ride.
