Default 2011 C300 Daytime ALL THE TIME

I am unhappy with the lighting on my 2011 C300 Sport when the headlights come on (lower LED lights go from Bright in Daytime to dim w/ headlights on). Does anyone know how to keep them bright ALL the time?

You might need a stronger battery.

WHAT?! This is a factory installed Daytime Running light (have you seen a new Mercedes-Benz?!). What I need to know is if there is a way to continue to have the strength of light stay that high when the headlights come on (almost acting as fog-lights).

I was told by the salesman just leave the light switch on switch 'A' at the time...and i noticed that the lower lead light would stay on at all time...day & night...

They do stay on - but do you notice how bright they are during "Day-Time Running Lights" and how dim they are when the headlights are on? I want then bright ALL the time not just as Daytime Running Lights.

Hmmm, there is a setting that sets it to dim once the lights are turned on. Not sure how you would switch that though to make it so they stay the same brightness, you try checking in the manual? Or call up the dealer and ask them.

Check my books & asked the dealer - no can do. What I am looking for is a work-around on this concern. Somoeone has to know how to make this happen. Trick the system to always think it's daytime?!
I thought these boards were filled with MB know-how! I need your help!! There must be a way to get this to work......

i was having the same problem and i know what youre talking about. when you turn them on they are bright for a second and then dim. i believe its something to do with the settings maybe. i am going to try and mess around with it later and talk to someone at the dealership if i have no luck. let me know if you figure it out.

Nothing in the settings will change this. It is a control in the light sensor that switches it from daytime running to a low level running light with the headlamps on. I am looking for a work-around that can change this to a constant on setting.
