So I have a 1981 300sd that I want more boost. I just bought the car and I've advanced the pump 2-3 degrees and I took the rack limiter out today and still a slow on the low end and the boost gauge that came with the car read no more then 10 psi and after all that still 10 psi. Can anyone give me some tips

 

Ok cool thanks. I have another question. If I shift it manually it gets it ok but if I put it in drive its such a dog.

 

Wheres a good place to get performance parts for these things? I also need to rebuild my Turbo.

 

Its just blowing oil. The intake is nasty with oil soot residue. That's why I need the Turbo rebuild kit.
I new to the Mercedes diesel but not a stranger to diesels or diesel performance.
