Switching to Biodiesel
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and to Mercedes ownership. We're now the 3rd owners of a 1985 300D from southern CA with 170k miles on it. So far, we're loving it! I'd like to run biodiesel and am wondering what you all have experienced and recommend in switching (prior owner ran only dino). It's my understanding that we'll want to switch out the fuel lines and carry some spare fuel filters for awhile. Can anyone make a recommendation as to what specifically needs to be replaced? Also, would this be something a not so, but kind of, mechanically inclined person could pull off - or should I have a professional take care of it? Finally, would it be ok to run a blend until the lines are replaced? Thanks!

Really (yes, I know nothing means nothing
)? That's great! I don't have to change the fuel lines or anything (I've been told, you know how that goes, that biodiesel will cause problems with original fuel lines)? Thanks again!
