Will a diesel run on strait kerosene? I have a friend that told me it would, he also has a repair shop, and says he will run old ATF in his tank as well. I just wanted to know if a diesel engine will run on keresene and atf, is this true? If it is will it hurt anything?

 

What is 1K and 2K kerosene? I also thought you said it can't run on strait kerosene. What is #1 and #2 diesel also?

 

Kero will run but it is hoter and less power refined to much closer to gasoline.
ATF was or still is one of Chevrons diesel additives. You can run ATF mixed with kero/diesel but if it has red dye that is fineable$$ dirt is a injector pumps enemy
